Sharon Selleck, CPA, Elected President Of CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Sharon Selleck, CPA, of San Bruno has been elected president of the Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2007 – 08. Selleck succeeds John Ying, CPA, of San Mateo.

Selleck previously served as the chapter’s vice president.

The CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter serves more than 1,000 members in San Mateo County. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

Selleck is the audit director for Burr, Pilger, & Mayer LLP in Palo Alto. The firm provides a wide range of services, including tax preparation and planning, audits and business consulting.
Selleck has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley.

Joining Selleck on the board of the CalCPA Peninsula Silicon Valley Chapter are Carol Ach (vice president) of Carol W. Ach, CPA, Menlo Park; James M. Knight (treasurer) of Vista Wealth Management, Palo Alto; and Michael Thompson (secretary) of Sun MicroSystems, Menlo Park.
