La Verne Professor Elected President Of CalCPA Inland Empire Chapter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Renee Miller, CPA, an accounting professor at the University of La Verne, has been elected president of the Inland Empire Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants for 2007 – 08. She succeeds Scott Hofferber, CPA, of Loma Linda.

Previously Miller served as the chapter’s first vice president.

The CalCPA Inland Empire Chapter serves more than 800 members primarily in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

Miller is chair of ULV’s department of applied business sciences and economics. She has a bachelor’s in business administration from California State University, Fullerton; a master’s in business administration from UCLA; and a master’s in taxation from Golden Gate University.

Joining Miller on the board of the Inland Empire Chapter are Clifford Y. Baugh (first vice president) of Matrix Financial Services, Rancho Cucamonga; Mark Erickson (second vice president) of California State University, San Bernardino; Andy Anderson (secretary) of Gordon Anderson Consulting, Chino Hills; and Evan Strano (treasurer) of Krieger & Stewart, Riverside.
