CalCPA San Francisco Chapter Elects New President
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Kathy Yu-Liu, CPA, of San Francisco has been elected president of the San Francisco Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2007 – 08. Yu-Liu succeeds Andrea G. Cope, CPA, of Alameda.
Previously Yu-Liu served as the chapter’s first vice president.
The CalCPA San Francisco Chapter serves more than 3,400 members in San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Mendocino and Humboldt counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.
Yu-Liu is a vice president and chief financial officer for Kizan International, an apparel importer and distributor in Brisbane. She holds an honorary degree in accounting from Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s in taxation from Golden Gate University.
Joining Yu-Liu on the board of the CalCPA San Francisco Chapter are Jerry Sample (first vice president) of Paladin Accountancy, San Francisco; Jamshed B. Gandi (second vice president) of Bertorelli, Gandi, Won & Behti, San Francisco; Karen Pfau-Martinez (secretary) of Burr, Pilger & Mayer LLP, San Francisco; and Laura Lee Ross (treasurer) of Harb, Levy & Weiland, San Francisco.
