How do I activate my listing in Find a CPA?

What is my member number?
You can find your member number on your membership card and on your California CPA mailing label. If you can't find it, contact customer services at calcpamember@calcpa.org or (800) 922-5272.
Is my CalCPA member number the same as my license number?
No, your CalCPA member number is not the same as your CPA license number.
Find a CPA
Can you recommend a CPA to me?
CalCPA does not recommend specific members to the public. However, Find a CPA allows you to search for a CPA based on criteria such as location, specialties and languages spoken. Please note that Find a CPA is a voluntary listing, it does not include all CalCPA members.
I need to find out if someone is a California CPA. I didn't find him/her in Find a CPA. Does that mean s/he isn’t a CPA?
Not all licensed CPAs in California are CalCPA members, not all CalCPA members are licensed in California, and not all CalCPA members are listed in Find a CPA. Please visit the California Board of Accountancy website at www.dca.ca.gov/cba to determine if the person you are looking for is licensed in California.

How do I become a CalCPA member?
Depending on your license status, you can become a student, candidate, associate or CPA member. To find out which membership fits you, please visit www.calcpa.org/join. If you have questions, please call our customer services department at (800) 922-5272.
Where can I get continuing education credits? CalCPA offers CPE to members via its chapters. Additionally, the California CPA Education Foundation offers discounted CPE to CalCPA members.
