CPA Robert Johnston Elected President Of CalCPA East Bay Chapter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Robert A. Johnston, CPA, of Walnut Creek has been elected president of the East Bay Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2006 – 07.


Previously Johnston was the chapter’s first vice president and program director.


The CalCPA East Bay Chapter serves more than 1,900 members in Alameda, Napa and Contra Costa counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.


The partner in charge of the personal tax group at Johnston, Gremaux & Rossi LLP, Walnut Creek, Johnston has expertise in taxation and small business management.


Johnston has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and a master’s in taxation from Golden GateUniversity, San Francisco.


He is a member of the Walnut Creek Rotary.


Joining Johnston on the board of the CalCPA East Bay Chapter are Robert Y. Anderson (first vice president and program director) of Burr, Pilger & Mayer LLP, Walnut Creek; Michele C. Day (second vice president and program director) of KPMG, San Francisco; and Joelyn K. Carr-Fingerle (secretary) of Joelyn K. Carr-Fingerle, CPA, Fremont.
