Rancho Murieta CPA Elected President of CalCPA Sacramento

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Gregory P. Verdon, CPA, of Rancho Murieta has been elected president of the Sacramento chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2006 – 07. Verdon succeeds Lynne Walline, CPA, of Sacramento.

 

Previously Verdon was the chapter’s vice president.

 

The CalCPA Sacramento Chapter serves more than 1,900 members in Alpine,  Amador, Sacramento and Solano counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

 

Verdon is principal of Gregory Verdon & Co. He provides tax planning and compliance, income tax preparation and other services to individuals, small businesses and trusts and estates.

 

Currently, Verdon is treasurer of the Los Ninos Service League, a not-for-profit volunteer-run restaurant and meeting center that contributes its profits and tips to the Sacramento Children’s Home.

 

Verdon has a bachelor’s degree in business administration (accounting) from CaliforniaStateUniversity, Sacramento, and a master’s in taxation from Golden GateUniversity.

 

Joining Verdon on the board of the CalCPA Sacramento chapter are Conrad Davis (vice president) of Ueltzen & Co., Sacramento, and David R. Motes (secretary and treasurer) of Motes and Evans LLP, Sacramento.
