CalCPA San Diego Chapter Elects New President

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Barry J. Kohn, owner of Barry J. Kohn CPA, San Diego, has been elected president of the San Diego chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2006 – 07. Kohn succeeds Joan Alleckson, president of Profit Solutions Network.

 

Previously Kohn served as the chapter’s first vice president.

 

The CalCPA San Diego Chapter serves more than 2,400 members in San Diego and Imperial counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning.

 

Kohn’s firm provides tax and consulting services for individuals and small businesses.

 

Kohn has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Pace University, New York City, and a juris doctorate from the BrooklynLawSchool.

Kohn is a member of the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau.

Joining Kohn on the board of the CalCPA San Diego Chapter are Marleen Thudium (secretary) of Willow Brook Financial Insurance Services, La Mesa, and Leslie W. Mittanck (treasurer) of 1st Pacific Bank, San Diego.
