CPA Glenn Imke Elected President of CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Glenn Imke has been elected president of the Bakersfield Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2005–06. Imke succeeds Marie Ebersbacher, CPA, ABV, CFE. Previously Imke served as the chapter’s president elect. He also has been the chapter’s vice president. The CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter serves about 300 members in Kern County. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Some of the activities the chapter plans for the coming months include an educational forum and an auction to raise money for its scholarship fund for accounting students. Chapter members also will be making presentations at local high schools and colleges. Imke is treasurer for the Spotlight Theatre and a member of the Bakersfield Historic Preservation Commission. Joining Imke on the board of the CalCPA Bakersfield Chapter are Cynthia Bush (president-elect) of Blackwell Land Co., Nick Pavletich (vice president) of the Kern County Water Agency and Martin Goni (secretary/treasurer) of Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.
