Grand Terrace CPA Elected President of CalCPA Inland Empire Chapter REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Chad Porter, a CPA in Grand Terrace, has been elected president of the Inland Empire Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants for 2005–06. Porter succeeds Bruce Gray, CPA, of San Dimas. Previously Porter served as the chapter’s first and second vice president as well as treasurer. The CalCPA Inland Empire Chapter serves more than 800 members in San Bernardino and Riverside counties. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Some of the activities the chapter plans for the coming months include the awarding of student scholarships and a tax seminar. A shareholder in the firm of Smith Marion & Co., Porter provides tax preparation services to individuals, small businesses and nonprofits as well as accounting and auditing services. Porter has a bachelor’s degree in business from California State University, San Bernardino. Joining Porter on the board of the Inland Empire Chapter are Scott Hofferber (first vice president) of Farmdale Creamery Inc., Loma Linda; Renee Miller (second vice president) of the University of LaVerne, Orange; Andy Anderson (secretary) of Condor Freight Lines, Chino; and Lucia Powell (treasurer) of Soren McAdam Christenson, Redlands.
