CPA Leonard Wright Elected President of Orange County/Long Beach CalCPA Chapter

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Leonard Wright, CPA/PFS/CFP/ChFC/CLU, has been elected president of the Orange County/Long Beach Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2005–06. Wright succeeds Michael Klarin, CPA, of Newport Beach Patrick.

Previously Wright was the chapter’s first vice president. He also has been the chapter’s treasurer and secretary.

The CalCPA Orange County/Long Beach Chapter serves more than 3,600 members who specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Some of the activities the chapter plans for the coming months include student outreach, a technology forum and a professional conference.

As a member of Strategic Financial Group in Los Angeles, Wright provides investment planning, risk management strategies, business continuation planning and other services to both individual and business clients.
 
Wright has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from California State University, Fullerton.

Joining Wright on the board of the CalCPA Orange County/Long Beach Chapter are Eduardo Jordon (first vice president) of Nolet Spirits USA, San Clemente; Heidi Hideshima (vice president) of U.R. My CPA, Lake Forest; Wendy Richards (treasurer) of Richards & Associates, Huntington Beach; and Monica Rebella (secretary) of PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dana Point.
