Paso Robles CPA Elected President of CalCPA Central Coast Chapter REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — Paso Robles CPA Kathleen O’Connor has been elected president of the Central Coast Chapter of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) for 2005–06. O’Connor succeeds Sandra McNeil, CPA, of Santa Maria. Previously O’Connor was the chapter’s vice president. The CalCPA Central Coast Chapter serves more than 300 members in San Luis Obispo County and northern Santa Barbara County. They specialize in a broad range of services — from business consulting and personal financial planning to tax and estate planning. Some of the activities the chapter plans for the coming months include sessions about pension and retirement planning for small businesses, accounting and auditing for the tax practitioner, and ways to help businesses grow. O’Connor has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She is past president of the San Luis Obispo Estate Planning Council and is the treasurer for the Paso Robles Student Loan Foundation. Joining O’Connor on the board of the CalCPA Central Coast Chapter are Debra Wacker (vice president), of Debra A. G. Wacker, CPA, San Luis Obispo; Jody Marsh (secretary) of Barbich Longcrier Hooper & King, San Luis Obispo; and Michael Roxbrough (treasurer) of Roy & O’Connor, Paso Robles.
