He also shares his new passion project, Pathways, that has been implemented within CalCPA’s Los Angeles Chapter. Read the article Pathways to Success in the June California CPA magazine today!
CalCPA Career Guide
CalCPA is in the process of creating a Career Guide to serve as a valuable resource for all 2,500+ student members. The guide will contain practical advice intended to help students advance their accounting careers and will also feature a list of firms located in California. This list will share various internship and full-time job opportunities available to students upon graduation. All 100% member firms will receive a discounted rate for their listing and the proceeds from the Career Guide will be utilized to support student outreach initiatives organized by CalCPA Institute. If your firm is interested in being included in the Career Guide, please reach out to either Michael Wong or Regine Staufenberg. The deadline for submissions is August 15th.
MEMBERSHIP
CalCPA is committed to enhancing the membership experience, maintaining a stronger dedication than ever. The renewal campaign proceeds with enthusiasm as CalCPA has recently enlisted the support of its chapter staff and volunteer leaders to reach out to members who have not renewed. In the spirit of community and shared benefit, members who appreciate the value of CalCPA are encouraged to recommend the organization to friends and colleagues.
With an understanding that members come from diverse career paths and are at different stages in their professional journeys, CalCPA is initiating contact with members across the spectrum to better grasp their specific needs. This initiative aligns with the mission of tailoring resources and benefits provided to better serve members and make their professional paths more enriching.
CalCPA recognizes the importance of concise and targeted communication and continues to refine the communication strategy. By decreasing the volume of emails to instead focus on the topics most pertinent to members, the hope is that members experience this transition to be a more streamlined and relevant information flow. With every touchpoint, CalCPA aims to showcase the suite of benefits that membership provides.
Firm Engagement and Business Development
The CalCPA Business Development Team has been meeting with firms to help review the updated Elite Membership upgrades and the benefits that 100% classic firms receive.
For firms that have not had a chance to meet and learn about the new member benefits including more CPE, free Classified Ads, reserved seating at conferences, a free HR Tool Kit, exclusive firm partner events and more, please email Denise Bethel for a connection to your local representative.
